We are delighted to have received examination results for our pupils studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, this year the pass rate was 94.4%, with 100% pass rate for pupils sitting IB for the first time.

All of our pupils entered for the Diploma this summer achieved it by successfully completing all six subject disciplines and the core components of the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity & Service.

The maximum possible points that a candidate can score is 45 points, which is only secured by a tiny percentage of candidates worldwide. Of our candidates, three achieved 40 points or more, with three achieving a very impressive 41 points, putting them on a par with the very best performing candidates across the globe. The average point score awarded to pupils sitting the diploma for the first time was 36.2.

Commenting on the results Principal Mr Melvyn Roffe said: “Warm congratulations to our IB Diploma candidates on their results. Success in the IB Diploma requires a high performance in a broad range of subjects and a high level of personal commitment. Being awarded the Diploma represents a world class achievement of which our pupils can be very proud.”

These results represent the culmination of two years' hard work for our IB pupils, and we would like to congratulate everyone on their achievements.

In addition to their academic subjects IB pupils have over the course of two years also taken part in CAS; Community, Activity and Service. They leave us well prepared to take on the challenges of university, work and an increasingly global world.
