GWC to become Edinburgh Fringe venue for Little Shop of Horrors

Published on 4 August 2021

We are delighted to announce that George Watson’s College will be an official Edinburgh Fringe Venue.

We will be hosting an outdoor family musical theatre production of Little Shop of Horrors, from 9 - 14 August 2021.

The show is being organised by A Team Productions, a youth musical theatre charity in Edinburgh, and features a cast of 11 to 19 year olds who have been rehearsing online and in person, in what has been their most challenging but exciting production yet.

The stage will be set up in the grounds of the Senior School, and will be the Fringe’s only outdoor theatre venue.

Amy Hutchison, Digital and External Events Manager at GWC, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to become a Fringe venue this year, particularly in light of the extreme challenges that the events and hospitality, arts and theatre industries have suffered over the last 18 months.

“We are thrilled to be supporting these sectors at this difficult time and hope that this signals the start of a return to normality and the enjoyment of arts, theatre, culture and events.”

Tickets as well as information on performance dates and times are available here.
