GWC shortlisted for Marketing Campaign Award

We are delighted to announce that George Watson's College has been shortlisted for the Marketing Campaign of the Year in the 2021 Tes Independent School Awards.

The campaign featured a film animation of former School Captain, Phoebe, who took us on her Watson’s journey and described how our pupils have the freedom to discover who they really are. This was supported by a series of blogs entitled ‘Why Watson’s’, and a paid and organic social media campaign.  

Our Principal, Melvyn Roffe, said: “It is a great tribute to the work of many colleagues, notably our Admissions and Marketing and Communications Departments and Electrify, our marketing and communications agency,  who have achieved so much in successfully moving our marketing to a new level in such difficult circumstances this last year. 

“Everyone who supported the campaign in any way, by helping us write a blog, or by supporting the vision for the Digital Open Morning can have the satisfaction of knowing that your work has been recognised at a national level.”

The TES Independent School Awards, are run by the UK’s biggest education media outlet, TES (Times Educational Supplement). Watson’s will go up against six other shortlisted schools at the digital awards ceremony on Friday 30 April 2021.
