    PE Teacher Awarded Female Umpire of the Year

    PE Teacher, Sarah Wilson (Class of 2006) found out yesterday that she had been voted FiH (International Hockey Federation) Female Umpire of the Year. She is in the FIH top umpiring group – meaning she is one of the top 16 umpires in the world, and has umpired at the Olympics, including the bronze medal match between Germany and New Zealand.

  • U18 Scottish Indoor Hockey Champions

    U18 Scottish Indoor Hockey Champions

    Our 1st XI hockey team won the Girls' U18 Scottish Indoor Hockey Championship in Perth at the weekend.

    The girls played Strathallan and High School of Glasgow in their pool, finishing 4–4 and  8–2 respectively. Following a penalty shoot-out with joint pool winners Strathallan, the girls went on to play Robert Gordon's College in the semi-final, winning 6–2.

    A close, competitive final game against Strathallan finished 3–3 resulting in another penalty shoot-out, with our girls going on to win the U18 Indoor Cup.

    Decisive Rugby Victory in U16 Scottish Schools' Cup Final

    On the Wednesday 6 December, Scotland’s historic BT Murrayfield stadium played host to the U16 Scottish Schools' Cup – with Watson’s securing a win against Stewart’s Melville. There was a huge gathering of cheering supporters for both teams. The supportive chanting from the maroon crowd kept up the team’s morale. Before the match started, pipe bands from both schools played triumphant chords, making the atmosphere even more exciting as supporters waited in anticipation for the kick-off.
