In February 2012 an inspection of George Watson’s College was carried out by three Her Majesty's Inspectors of Schools. The Quality Improvement Through Professional Engagement inspection was not a full-blown inspection but an opportunity for the inspectorate to ensure that George Watson's College has effective and successful procedures in place to enhance and improve the quality of our education provision.
Gareth Edwards, Principal said, “We are delighted that our visitors were much impressed by Watson's, most importantly by the people that populate the School. We were complimented on very many aspects of our work and we have received a professional and considered view endorsing that we know our School and we know how to develop it.
"Of particular note is the recognition of the quality of the relationships around the School between staff and pupils, which pupils were keen to emphasize
alongside their appreciation of the teaching and learning experience they have at Watson’s.”
The letter sent to our parents, late last term, details the outcomes from the visit and can be downloaded using this link:

In September 2015, the Care Inspectorate inspected our Nursery facilities in an unannounced inspection, and reported that we had maintained the top grading of 'Excellent' in all areas of our practice. A copy of the final report can be downloaded using this link:
