Primary 3 Birdwatchers
This term all our Primary 3 pupils have been learning about 'Birds'. They visited Vane Farm, an RSPB site near Kinross, and many are now keen to become bird watchers.
This enthusiasm will be nurtured through participation in the Bird Friendly Schools Project run by the RSPB. This will run throughout the school year and aims to encourage a wider variety of birds into the school grounds.
Maggie Gaye from the RSPB visited just after half term and all classes have been given a bird box, feeder and some seeds. Over the next few weeks these will appear all around the Junior School and they will hopefully encourage smaller birds, such as sparrows and housemartins to visit.
