Happy Harvest

The preschool nursery have been having a wonderful week celebrating Harvest Time. The children have listened to many stories about farmers, the harvest and of course the old favourites of The Little Red Hen, The Enormous Turnip and The Magic Porridge Pot. The house corner has been turned into the home of The Three Bears and the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread and flapjacks has filled the nursery as groups of children have been busy baking. The children have also made delicious pots of porridge which they have shared together.

There was tremendous fun in the Nursery playground too, when children squeezed green, yellow and brown paint on to an enormous sheet and then drove their tractors through the paint and on to a very long piece of paper. They made fabulous patterns with the tractor wheels! Some of the children created their own tractor models out of junk and next week they are looking forward to a visit from Mr Morton, our Head Groundsman, who is bring the school tractor to the Nursery.
