Membership
The Galleon is open to staff, pupils, former pupils, parents and associated members. A variety of activities are on offer to adult and junior members.
Membership benefits include:
- low annual membership fee, valid for a full calendar year
- the opportunity to meet other members of the Watson's community
- complimentary use of the swimming pool, conditioning room, badminton, tennis and squash courts
- priority booking for holiday sports camps
- wide variety of taught classes, for a minimal fee
If you renew within a month of your membership expiring you will receive a discounted price on most membership fees with our early renewal scheme.

There will no longer be adult or family memberships from January due to the redevelopment and relaunch of The Galleon Club. We have introduced a one-off junior payment which will cover all camps and junior classes from January to June.
Junior payment £20 (available until 25 May 2012)
New pricing structure will take effect when The Galleon relaunches.
Facilities
The Galleon's facilities are listed below. Outwith allocated hours, members can hire the facilities exclusively for their own use. The cost of hire is at a reduced rate available only to Galleon members. Halls suitable for party games and food are also available (food not supplied). Speak to a member of the Galleon staff for further information.
- Games hall: suitable for a variety of activities, including badminton, five-a-sides, basketball and volleyball.
- All weather astroturfs: suitable for hockey and football.
- Astroturf tennis courts: six courts available summer term only.
- Conditioning room: CV equipment, machine and free weights.
- Ergometer room: containing Concept II rowing machines.
- Two indoor gym halls: suitable for fitness classes, birthday parties and a range of other activities.
- Squash: access to four squash courts situated at Myerside

Changing Facilities
Owing to redevelopment work, temporary changing facilities including toilets and showers are available. The Galleon provides a facility for the safe-keeping of valuables, please speak to reception who will advise accordingly. Children seven years and over must use the same sex changing rooms. Children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times during their use of the The Galleon's facilities, with the exception of coached children's classes.
Equipment
A wide range of equipment is available from the Galleon reception.
