Science and Engineering Society

The Science and Engineering Society at George Watson's College, is a pupil led society with the general aim of promoting science and engineering within the school.

The Club is responsible for organising speeches and talks on a vast variety of subjects related in general to science and engineering. The speakers at the aforementioned talks are invited by the pupils running the Science and Engineering Society and come from a variety of professions and backgrounds within the general vicinity of Edinburgh, to speak on any given topic.

All pupils are welcome to attend any of these talks and are encouraged to do so by the Science and Engineering Society.

As well as the external speakers, the pupils in the Science and Engineering Society help orchestrate the School's Science Fair, a great opportunity for younger and older pupils alike to learn about the many fascinating aspects of science; as well as giving the members of the Science and Engineering Society the chance to showcase their favourite parts of science to the pupils and staff of George Watson's College. – Written by Joe (S5)
