Why leave a legacy to the Foundation?
When George Watson left his legacy in 1723 he made his aims clear. He
sought academic excellence and the creation of an environment where young
minds hungry for knowledge could flourish. But he was also determined
that children from less advantaged backgrounds should be able to enjoy
the quality of education available to those more fortunate. This tradition
lives on today and your support is vital. With your assistance we will
be able to help more young people to achieve their full potential.
If you intend to leave a legacy to the School please use the online Pledge facility
and the Development Office will contact you soon. If you wish to amend
your Will, you can download a Codicil
document (PDF, 150kB) from this web page. Download our Legacy
literature (PDF, 125kB) for further information.
Anyone who pledges a legacy to the Foundation will be invited to join
the Caritas Society and to attend an annual event at Watson's, such as
the Art Exhibition.
Your decision now will influence future generations.
