Christy 102 Not Out!
by

The girls' cricket team is back safely after a wonderful weekend trip to England.
On Saturday they took on Sedbergh reaching 269 for 5 and then bowling them out for 49. Christy Thomson (S6) made 102 not out and so becomes only the fifth girl to have achieved a century for the School.
The following day they had to chase 218. At 50 for 5 it was not looking good, but they reached 210, when Kathryn Bryce (S1) scored 83, with 21 of her runs against an under 19 Aussie internationalist, and Catherine Dick (S6) achieved 81. The team might just have made it with one more over – it was really exciting!
