S1 Pupils React Well Under Pressure

Wenrong Li, Peter Akyol, Elizabeth Boyd and Kirsten McCorquodale were all selected to represent GWC at the annual Salters' Festival of Chemistry at Heriot Watt, yesterday. Twenty schools took part in the Festival.
The group was a credit to themselves and their teachers (Mr Jamie Laycock and Mrs Elspeth Webb). In addition, they were placed first in the Salters’ Challenge, winning £100 for the School, and second in the University Challenge, winning a further £50 for the School, as well as certificates and token prizes for the pupils.
