Breakfast Club

The Junior School operates a Breakfast Club which is a separate entity from the After School Club. The Breakfast Club operates on normal school days during term time and is open to pupils from Nursery to P7.

The Breakfast Club is based in the Junior School Dining Hall. Unlike the After School Club there are no organised activities on offer, but children have the opportunity to relax before school by playing games, reading books and drawing.

The Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am and the pupils attending are released from 8.30am onwards to the classrooms. A breakfast is provided for all pupils attending and consists of cereal, toast, fruit juice and milk. Further information, including costs, is available from the Junior School Admissions Secretary.

After School Club

For pre-school nursery children after nursery care is provided by Nursery Plus.

Children in P1 to P7 are catered for by our very popular After School Club, which provides a happy, caring environment from its base at the heart of the campus. The Club operates on normal school days during term time from the end of the school day until 5.45pm.

Lower Primary children are based mainly in the Lower Primary hall where they have direct access to a large enclosed garden and play area. P4 to P7 are based in New Myreside House which is on the campus adjacent to the Upper Primary building. They also have direct access to outdoor play facilities.

The children take part in a wide variety of activities ranging from sport, craft and swimming to cookery, board games and quiet reading. Free play is also encouraged for Lower Primary children and there is an opportunity for pupils in the Upper Primary Club to do their homework under supervision.

A light snack of juice and biscuits is available daily for the children. Further details including costs are available from the Junior School Admissions Secretary.

After School in the Senior School

Although there is no after school care facility for Senior School pupils, our extensive extra-currciular provision means that pupils can stay on at school to participate in a wide range of activities after the close of lessons. To find out more about the variety of activities on offer, visit our extra-curricular section.
