Three school bus routes, servicing East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian, operate daily during termtime. These provide a safe and reliable means of getting to school, and this service is currently used by a significant number of families. The School is responsible for the East and West Lothian routes, while the Midlothian bus is organised and maintained by Watson's parents. For further details, see the timetables below.

East Lothian School Bus

This bus is organised by George Watson's College. The contact at the school is Mrs Marian Smith, Bursar's secretary - email m.smith@gwc.org.uk or tel. 0131 446 6047. Billing is done on a twice termly basis through the Miscellaneous Extras account and will be collected by Direct Debit.

After the pick-up points, the bus goes straight to George Watson's College, dropping pupils off between the main gates at the Senior School on Colinton Road at 8.30am. The pupils do not have to cross the road.

A return bus leaves the School at 3.45pm daily and follows the same route at the same cost per journey.

Midlothian School Bus

Current price is £1.24 per person. Inward journey only.

After the three pick-up points, the bus goes straight to George Watson's College, dropping pupils off outside the main school gates in Colinton Road. The pupils do not have to cross the road.

West Lothian School Bus

After the pick-up points, the bus goes straight to George Watson's College, dropping pupils off between the main gates at the Senior School on Colinton Road. The pupils do not have to cross the road. On the return journey the bus will be parked inside the School campus at the Senior School. The bus will leave promptly at 3:45pm and bring the pupils back to their destinations.
