The School operates four school bus routes, servicing Haymarket, East Lothian, Midlothian and West
Lothian, daily during termtime. These provide a safe and reliable
means of getting to school, and this service is currently used by a significant

Bus
Haymarket School Bus
We run a bus to/from Haymarket Station in the morning and after school. The bus (a school mini-bus) is situated outside the Grosvenor Hotel in Grosvenor Street for 8am, to prevent pupils having to stand around in the cold, given the various train arrival times. Typically the bus will remain there until about 8.20am (to accommodate the East Lothian train).
The bus returns to Haymarket after school, leaving the campus at 3.45pm. The service has a dedicated mobile phone to enable pupils to inform the driver if they are absent or if their train is running late, via text message.
The cost is £1 per journey per passenger. The total cost for the journeys taken is charged to 'Extras' on a four-weekly basis and is collected by Direct Debit.

After the pick-up points, the bus goes straight to George Watson's College,
dropping pupils off between the main gates at the Senior School on Colinton
Road at 8.30am. The pupils do not have to cross the road.
A return bus leaves the School at 3.45pm daily and follows the same route at the same cost per journey.
Billing is done on a four-weekly basis through 'Extras' and is collected by Direct Debit.

On the return journey the bus will be parked inside the School campus at the Senior School. The bus will leave promptly at 3.45pm and bring the pupils back to their destinations.
