Studies

The Guidance remit includes the monitoring of each pupil's progress as part of the programme of academic support. Pupils are supported in meeting the varying demands of each stage in their curricular progression and receive ongoing advice on how to organise and manage their studies. Parents are kept informed through a comprehensive programme of reporting, parents' evenings and subject choice and careers forums, so they can work with staff to support decisions faced by pupils at key points such as S2, S4 and S5.

The Guidance team is also responsible for the provision of information and advice for pupils as they make choices of subject, level, study load and ultimate direction. Guidance staff link with subject teachers to analyse progress and set individual targets.
