REVISION FOR ASSESSMENT 2(May)
The exam will have three sections: Grammar and Syntax, Vocabulary and Mythology.
1. Grammar: the following parts of speech:
noun ; adjective ; adverb ; verb ; pronoun ; preposition ; conjunction.
Syntax :
Analysis of a sentence into subject/verb/object.
2. Vocabulary:
The following prefixes and their meaning:
prefix meaningsym-/syn-/com-/con- with ; together micro- small mega- big poly- many ambi- both and the following suffixes and their meaning:
suffix meaning-ology the study of -ist someone who does something -phobia fear of -graphy writing about AND the prefixes for negative adjectives on pages 50-52 of the text book.
3. Mythology:
1. Know the details of the stories from Unit 6 (Demeter) up to and including Unit 14 (Poseidon).

2. Know the Greek and Roman names of the Gods and Goddesses and their functions.
